A very Merry Christmas from Elevator!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year and there’s even a dusting of snow on the ground as we write this! While we appreciate it’s not ideal for those who need to get to work and don’t have 4×4 (or live on a hill), snow certainly makes the countryside look beautiful! For the final Elevator blog of 2022, we wanted to say a huge ‘thank you’ to our customers and followers for all your support over the past year. It means the world to us to have amazing cheerleaders helping spread the word about our bridles and our mission to ‘elevate’ horse performance through comfort, whether that’s tagging us into Facebook posts when people are on the hunt for anatomical bridles or telling everyone in the warmup ring where your breastplate comes from!

What was new in 2022!

That leads us neatly onto the next area of our end of year blog – a quick recap of all the amazing new product launches we’ve done this year!

The new Elevator Elite Breastplate was first up, and we were on tenterhooks in the lead up to the official launch at Badminton in May! It’s designed to ensure the saddle stays in place and that the horse has uninhibited shoulder movement too. We added an integrated neck strap for those moments when you need something to hang on to (our director Jo calls them the ‘oh sh*t moments) and it’s 100% FEI legal too!

Fast forward to August when we finally unveiled our four new bridles – the Elite Burghley, Ascot, Hickstead and Olympia Bridles! Jo had been working on them for such a long time, drawing on all her knowledge and the latest research into bridle pressure and equine facial anatomy to create something very special. They are all centred around an updated anatomical headpiece designed to alleviate poll pressure and ensure the bridle doesn’t impinge on the back of the ears. Then, Jo developed four noseband styles which replicate the ones commonly used by riders – the cavesson, flash, drop and grackle – but which are again designed with the latest knowledge of facial pressure and anatomy in mind.

And last, but by no means least, we’ve unveiled our gorgeous new bridle bags! They are Elevator-branded and look super smart hanging in your tack room! They come as standard with all new bridle orders to keep the supple English leather clean and dust-free in the lorry or at home…

Christmas Opening Hours

The Elevator office and warehouse will close at the end of the day on Thursday the 22nd of December, and will reopen on Wednesday the 4th of January. We will be dispatching orders up to the time we close but there’s no guarantee that they will arrive in time for Christmas!

We’ll wrap up by wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We hope your holiday is restful, sociable (if that’s what you want) and you get all the presents you asked for! We’ve already got our planning hat on for 2023 and can’t wait to share our ideas with you in January – but let’s not wish the holidays away…
